Hands down, this was one of my favorite weddings of 2022 AND of my entire career as a wedding filmmaker. I am passionate about capturing the essence of love stories through videography. I believe that each couple's journey is unique and deserves to be immortalized in a way that truly reflects the essence of their love, and Katava and Tony's wedding on September 23rd, 2022, was a perfect example of this! We were honored to be a part of it.
Katava and Tony have been together since high school, which is more than ten years, and they truly are the epitome of a couple who has grown up together and whose personalities are made for each other.
The venue for their wedding was Tom Ham's Lighthouse in San Diego, which brought family and friends from all over the country to celebrate with them. It was beautiful to see all their loved ones having a good time, and we were grateful to have the opportunity to capture these moments on camera.
What stood out to us the most about this couple was how involved they were with the video creation process. They had a unique vision of a 007 James Bond-style video, which gave us extra time to ensure we were able to capture those shots and edit the video in that unique way. We were thrilled to create a video that truly reflected their personalities and love story.
During their wedding, we captured a heartfelt speech from Tony, where he expressed his love for Katava and his unwavering commitment to her. He said that he had a vision of this moment many nights ago and that the same vision gave him hope of grasping something genuine and pure. He promised to never give up on her and to keep trying for her, even during the most trying times.
Katava's speech was equally as touching, where she spoke about how Tony was the missing piece to her puzzle. She spoke about the valuable lessons he had taught her, including how to stop and smell the roses and how important it is to ask for help. She said that she was forever thankful that the quiet kid with the big backpack in Spanish class turned out to be her best friend.
Their speeches were heartfelt, and it was clear to us that they truly were meant to be together. We were honored to be able to capture these moments and to create a video that reflected the love they share.
