On May 30th, 2022, I had the honor of capturing the wedding of Moustafa and Amal. Their multi-day celebration was a beautiful fusion of cultures, music, food, and most importantly, love. The couple, a Somali-American and Egyptian-American duo, brought together two vibrant cultures in a spectacular way.

The Salt Drift Point venue in San Diego served as the perfect summer wedding backdrop. The details were immaculate, from the intricate henna tattoos to the rings, dress, custom suit, classic car, and more. It was amazing to see the diverse range of outfits worn by the guests.

As a filmmaker, I've filmed many weddings, but this was my first time capturing a Somali or Egyptian wedding. While I was not able to film the ceremony, the emotions, traditions, love, and joy from the couple and their families were still palpable.

The reception was a true celebration of their love, with guests from both cultures dancing to the beats of Somali and Egyptian music. The food was a delicious mix of both cultures' delicacies, which everyone enjoyed.

Towards the end of the night, Moustafa and Amal exchanged heartfelt words of gratitude and appreciation for each other. They vowed to support, inspire, and comfort each other during difficult times, and promised to work together to achieve their dreams.

In addition to their stunning wedding, Moustafa and Amal were also kind enough to volunteer their time for another shoot with us at the Glamis Sand Dunes. The desert provided the perfect backdrop for this adventurous couple, and Amal's traditional Somalian dress looked absolutely stunning as the sun set over the dunes.

It's always a joy to work with couples who are willing to go above and beyond to capture the perfect shot. Moustafa and Amal were no exception, and their willingness to do this extra shoot with us speaks volumes about their love for each other and their commitment to creating beautiful memories together.

We had a blast working with them again, and we're so grateful for their willingness to take the time to capture these beautiful moments with us. It's couples likethis who remind us why we love what we do, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to work with them.

Filming their wedding was an unforgettable experience. It was a beautiful celebration of love, culture, and unity. I wish the couple nothing but the best as they embark on this new journey as husband and wife.
